K9 Đá Chông Historical Site, Ba Vì

K9 Đá Chông Historical Site is known as one of the region's most popular historical attractions. This is a particularly significant place because of its close association with the revered President Hồ Chí Minh. So what makes K9 Đá Chông special? Read on to find out!

In 1957, while visiting Division 316 during a military exercise, President Hồ Chí Minh stopped beneath three large pointed rocks to have lunch. After observing the rugged terrain, beautiful scenery and cool climate, he chose the site as a base for the central government. When the resistance war against the United States entered a critical stage, the Politburo and the Central Military Commission selected Đá Chông as the place to preserve President Hồ Chí Minh's remains because its distance from Hà Nội ensured secrecy and safety.

Today, Đá Chông continues to be carefully preserved and restored and is open to domestic and international visitors. The site displays many deeply meaningful keepsakes from President Hồ Chí Minh's dedicated years of revolutionary activity. For this reason, anyone passionate about history and full of admiration for President Hồ Chí Minh's noble character and abilities should not miss this attraction!

As this is a special cultural and historical site, visitors wishing to see K9 should note the following requirements:

• Register to visit K9 Đá Chông by obtaining a letter of introduction from your workplace, agency, organization or ward/commune People's Committee. You must then complete the registration procedure at the office of the President Hồ Chí Minh Mausoleum Command. Visitors living farther away may contact the K9 Management Board by phone for guidance on the required procedures. The Management Board accepts registrations during weekday office hours: Morning: 8:00 to 11:00; afternoon: 14:00 to 16:00.

• Visitors are encouraged to travel in a group and have a guide accompany them. This will help you understand and visit all of K9 Đá Chông's main points of interest. The Management Board can also assist visitors with organizing large events, so you may submit a request to them.

• Visitors must bring an identity card or citizen ID card to register for entry at the first gate checkpoint. After parking in the designated lot, the tour will officially begin.
