One Pillar Pagoda, Hà Nội

When it comes to remarkable architecture, the One Pillar Pagoda is not to be missed. In 2012, the Asia Book of Records officially recognized the One Pillar Pagoda as the "Pagoda with the Most Unique Architecture in Asia". It was designed in the form of a lotus blooming on the water, symbolizing the purity and nobility of Buddhist teachings.

The One Pillar Pagoda is in Ba Đình District, on the street that shares its name and just behind Ông Ích Khiêm Street. The pagoda stands within the grounds of the Hồ Chí Minh Mausoleum and Ba Đình Square complex. Its visitor hours therefore depend on the opening hours of these 2 sites. The One Pillar Pagoda welcomes visitors daily from 7:00 to 18:00. A visit takes around 1 to 3 hours, so you can come at any time within these opening hours.
