Thiên Cung Cave, Hạ Long

• Location: Thiên Cung Cave lies southwest of Hạ Long Bay, north of Đầu Ngô Island and near Đầu Ngọ Cave, 4 km from the tourist boat harbor to the south.

Thiên Cung Cave is one of the most beautiful caves in Quảng Ninh. Covering around 10.000 m2, it has multiple levels and chambers filled with countless stalactites and stalagmites in unusual, distinctive shapes.

The cave is named Thiên Cung, meaning Heavenly Palace, because a phosphorescent layer inside gives off an enchanting glow. A passage also leads to an opening with a view of the sky. Standing beneath it, visitors are treated to a magnificent natural spectacle as light streams directly down from above.
