Lotte Center, Hà Nội

Occupying a prime location in the western part of central Hà Nội, an area with a high concentration of office and residential developments, and close to the major streets of Nguyễn Chí Thanh and Kim Mã, Lotte Center is an appealing Hà Nội attraction not to be missed.

Lotte Center is known as the 3rd-tallest “skyscraper” in Vietnam and the 2nd tallest in Hà Nội, after Keangnam Hà Nội. It was previously ranked as Vietnam’s 2nd-tallest building, but the arrival of the 81-story Landmark in Hồ Chí Minh City in 2017 took second place and moved Lotte down to 3rd. However, it has the 2nd-largest floor area in Vietnam, after the 72-story Keangnam Landmark.

The building has 65 floors and a highly distinctive design inspired by the flowing áo dài worn by Vietnamese women. Interestingly, it was designed by the US firm Callison and developed by Lotte Group, one of Asia’s 10 leading organizations. Could this design also reflect an international appreciation of this beautiful element of Vietnamese culture?

Lotte officially opened on September 2, 2014. Standing 267m tall with a large floor area of 247.000m2, it contains shopping, office and entertainment areas, as well as a premium convention center. Lotte Mart supermarket is located on basement level 1; Lotte Department Store occupies floors 1 to 6; and floors 7 to 31 contain rental offices used as showrooms or restaurants. Floors 33 to 64 of the Lotte building house luxury apartments and a 300-room hotel serving upscale guests. Floor 65, the highest floor in the Lotte building, offers the skywalk viewing experience.
