The tour leader will pick up guests at Column 9, Level 2 of the Tan Son Nhat International Airport departure hall, departing for Chiang Mai on flight VJ891 at 11:25.
In the afternoon: a coach and local guide will pick up the group at Chiang Mai International Airport and take the group to the city center. The group departs for sightseeing at Phrathat Doi Suthep Temple – one of the most sacred temples in Chiang Mai, revered by Thai people and a pilgrimage destination for Buddhist devotees during major holidays. Visitors often say that if you come to Chiang Mai without visiting Phrathat temple, it's as if you haven't truly visited the city. Phrathat Doi Suthep is an ancient temple built by King Kuena of the Mangrai dynasty at Doi Suthep. According to legend, a Buddha relic is enshrined at this temple, brought by Buddhist monk Sumanathera from Sukhothai to Lanna in 1371. When the relic arrived in Lanna, King Kuena commissioned the construction of a chedi (similar to a pagoda) at Suan Dok Temple to enshrine a portion of it, with the remainder enshrined at Phrathat Doi Suthep.
In the evening: Guests enjoy a Kantoke dinner featuring northern Thai specialties, and experience a traditional folk arts performance with authentic Thai music and dance.
Overnight stay in Chiang Mai.
In the morning, the group checks out and departs for Chiang Rai. Along the way, the group will stop at:
Visit the elephant camp. Get acquainted with friendly elephants and embark on an adventure through Chiang Mai's forests. You'll enjoy scenic views with layers of lush foliage in the early morning mist, the chirping of birds, and fresh air rarely found in bustling cities like Bangkok. Don't forget to capture moments of these gentle giants showing off their artistic talents with creative sketches.
Ride elephants through Chiang Mai's ancient forest, offering thrilling moments atop these magnificent creatures, wandering through pristine, majestic forests and mountains. Cool water will splash your feet and hands as you raft on bamboo rafts down the river, giving you delightful moments exploring with these gentle giants. Especially, the vibrant beauty of orchids in the vast forest or the graceful flutter of butterflies will stir your heart.
After lunch, the group travels to Long Neck Village to visit and learn about the traditional customs of the Karen ethnic minority. The Karen people originally came from Myanmar, but due to economic and political factors gradually migrated to Thailand where they settled. They have a unique tradition of wearing neck rings; according to Karen beliefs, they are descendants of the Phoenix, so a longer neck is considered more beautiful and dignified. Additionally, the more rings worn on the neck, the more it signifies the family's wealth and prosperity.
On the way to Chiang Rai, the group stops at Mae Khachan Hot Spring area to rest and relax. Guests are free to enjoy the scenery, buy souvenirs, or participate in foot soaking and egg boiling services.
Upon arrival in Chiang Rai, the group has dinner and checks into the hotel. Overnight stay in Chiang Rai.
In the morning: The group checks out and departs for:
The Golden Triangle - a mountainous forest area located at the border of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos. This area was once the territory of drug lord Khun Sa, famous for growing opium poppies and producing the world's largest opium supply. Today, the Golden Triangle is one of the most attractive tourist areas in northern Thailand. The opium poppy-covered hills have gradually been replaced with fruit orchards, tea hills, and endless coffee plantations. Here, visitors not only hear fascinating stories about this region, but can also tour and admire the complete landscape of the three-river confluence where Thailand borders Laos and Myanmar, take a boat ride on the idyllic Mekong River, and view the Mae Sai border – the trade gateway between Thailand and Myanmar.
In the afternoon, the group visits:
The White Temple – Wat Rong Khun, designed and built by Chalermchai Kositpipat – an artist and one of Thailand's most famous architects. The temple perfectly combines classical Thai architecture with surrealist style in its predominantly white color scheme symbolizing the purity of Buddha.
Visit the Blue Temple with its unique and striking architecture.
A coach takes the group to visit Choui Fong tea hills – the large tea plantation of Chiang Rai. Guests are free to take photos at the tea hills or rest, and enjoy coffee or hot tea as desired.
The group returns to Chiang Mai.
In the evening, guests are free to stroll the streets or explore and shop at Night Bazaar, where you can find many unique handcrafted items to gift to your loved ones.
**Overnight in Chiang Mai.
In the morning, the group visits:
Pay respects at Lok Molee Ancient Temple, located in the center of Chiang Mai, near Chang Puak Gate on the northern edge of the old city. Legend has it that the temple was built around the 14th century by King Kuena, the 6th king of the Mengrai dynasty. The temple is distinctive for its wooden main hall with a three-tiered roof, crafted uniquely with many finely carved details, interspersed with moss-covered ancient pagodas in a serene compound. Notably, this place also holds deep spiritual significance, as it houses the ashes of some royal family members of the Mengrai dynasty and the ashes of ten Buddhist monks invited from Myanmar to preach Buddhist teachings.
Guests visit and take photos at: Royal Flora Garden: The Royal Flora Ratchaphruek Garden is a horticultural exhibition in Chiang Mai where visitors can admire thousands of plant and flower species. The park is named after Thailand's national flower - Ratchaphruek (the Golden Shower tree) with its beautiful yellow flowers. One of the highlights of the park is the orchid pavilion featuring countless orchid species in various colors.
The group visits Central Festival shopping mall where guests can shop for gifts, have lunch at the food court before heading to Chiang Mai Airport.
At noon, the group travels to the airport to check in for the return flight to Sài Gòn. Flight VJ892 departs at 14:25.
