The morning tour starts at 8:00 (lunch at the end)
The afternoon tour starts at 12:00 noon (lunch at the beginning)
Our Vespa team takes guests to sample some of Vietnam's finest food! It is a wonderful way to see parts of the city that most visitors never have the chance to visit—or even hear about—and experience its nightlife. We take you to the most popular street stalls, hidden alleys and, of course, the places where locals like to spend time with friends.
We pick you up and ride through narrow streets to the meeting point, where you join the group in the historic Old Quarter. Our first stop is the French Quarter and Hà Nội Opera House, where you will learn about French colonial architecture and history.
Your second destination is Long Biên Bridge, a magnificent structure built more than a hundred years ago across the Red River, connecting Hoàn Kiếm and Long Biên districts. It also shelters local people living on boats below. Only motorbikes and bicycles can cross, so off we go!
Next, we take you along the riverbank to an island in the Red River to visit a hidden gem of a village. Here, you will see how some disadvantaged residents live and how people farm on the island. You will also have the chance to meet and talk with island residents, and our guide will take you to visit a local family to see what daily life is like.
We then ride through a banana farm, taking in the lush scenery of vegetable plots along the way, before visiting a kumquat farm. These small trees are traditional gifts for Tết, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, and decorate every home, symbolizing good luck, health, wealth, fertility and peace.
Our next stop is Trấn Quốc Pagoda on West Lake, one of the largest lakes in Hà Nội. From several points, we can enjoy panoramic city views, beautiful homes and wonderful scenery, while also seeing an area where some of the city's wealthier residents live.
Ride along Thanh Niên Road, with West Lake on one side and Trúc Bạch Lake on the other. We stop at the John McCain Monument to see the lake and the place where he was shot down, and you will learn his story.
We then continue past the Botanical Gardens and through narrow alleys lined with slender houses to visit Hữu Tiệp Lake, where the wreckage of a B-52 remains. The American bomber was shot down during the 1972 bombing of Hà Nội, offering a poignant reminder of recent history.
After a short Vespa ride toward the Hồ Chí Minh Mausoleum, your driver will stop at a viewpoint overlooking the area, including the Presidential Palace, National Assembly Building and government offices. Our guide will tell you about Hà Nội's history and stories...
At the final stop, enjoy Vietnamese coffee and try Hà Nội's famous egg coffee beside the railway tracks. Here, you can see local people living and working in tall, narrow houses just a few centimeters from the tracks.
