Your driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hà Nội to begin the Hanoi Art Tours half-day tour, with the first stop at the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum. Having welcomed many high-level international delegations, the museum has sent numerous traveling thematic exhibitions abroad to introduce international audiences to Vietnam’s distinctive culture and heroic history. It also connects local visitors with collections of paintings, photographs, and sculptures by international artists. The museum gives local art lovers the opportunity to enjoy and learn about different schools of art and global trends.
The next stop is the home/studio of renowned artist Phạm Lực. Born in 1943 in Central Vietnam, Phạm Lực served as a military artist for more than 30 years during the Vietnam War. His artwork is distinguished by masterful technique, and he is known for his "Rice Sack Paintings". Phạm Lực’s work has appeared in many exhibitions in Vietnam and abroad, including Russia, Japan, France, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, and the United States. His paintings have been collected by the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and many international collectors. He specializes in themes of homeland, love, and war (Phạm Lực is the first and only artist in Vietnam with his own collectors’ club, whose Vietnamese members have collected more than 200 of his works to date).
Continue to some of the city’s best-known art galleries, such as Mỹ thuật Việt, Cọ xanh (or Apricot or Thăng Long), or meet local Hà Nội art collectors and enjoy their private collections.
