Vũng Tàu Lighthouse

The Vũng Tàu Lighthouse stands on the summit of núi Tao Phùng (Ward 2, Vũng Tàu City, Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu Province). This is a sightseeing spot that many people recommend as a must-visit while traveling in Vũng Tàu. Việt Nam has 79 lighthouses stretching across the country, but Vũng Tàu Lighthouse is the oldest. This architectural landmark in Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu Province was built by the French in 1883 to serve the maritime transport needs of foreign merchant ships and the French military.

The lighthouse welcomes visitors throughout the day, but the best time to visit is in the afternoon, between 14:00 and 17:00. The weather is less intense then, with gentle sunlight that is ideal for photos. If you prefer a sparkling, atmospheric view, visit in the evening to see the city at night.
