Ngoạn Mục Pass

Ngoạn Mục Pass—its name alone evokes the grandeur and breathtaking beauty of this place. Located on National Highway 27, the pass forms a natural boundary between the hot, dry Ninh Sơn Valley and the lush Lang Biang Plateau.

Its winding bends hug towering mountainsides, opening onto views of drifting clouds and layer upon layer of peaks. Ngoạn Mục Pass is not only a vital transport route connecting the Central Highlands with the South Central Coast, but also one of the most beautiful mountain passes in Việt Nam, leaving everyone who travels through it in awe of its wild, captivating beauty.

Ngoạn Mục Pass is around 18 km long and is known as the steepest mountain pass in the southern provinces, with an average gradient above 9°. Situated on the national highway connecting Phan Rang – Tháp Chàm with Đà Lạt, the pass rises from around 200 m at its foot to nearly 1.000 m at the summit. From the top, visitors can admire the Phan Rang Valley, the distant blue sea, and picturesque layers of forested mountains. 🌿
